DESCRIPTION:\nPlease join us on Thursday, September 25th when we will honor Case Hoogendoorn as this year's recipient of the Austin Fleming Distinguished Service Award.\n \nFollowing the Award presentation, Jane Ditelberg, Northern Trust will present "Note-worthy Planning: Using Loans to Achieve Estate Planning Objectives."\n \nThis presentation will review the rules for structuring intra-family loans under section 7872 of the Code and how those loans can advance a client’s estate planning objectives. We will discuss section 1274 and applicable federal rates, and the effect of the Van Anda and Frazee cases. We will also cover the recent Galli and Bolles cases and the valuation of intra-family loans for transfer tax purpose.\n \nPhoto/Video/Audio Release:\n \nPhotographs and videos of attendees are taken at CEPC programs.
